1. Is there a fee to publish in the Yearbook of UNWE?
No. The journal follows a Diamond Open Access model, with no article processing charges, submission fees, or subscription fees. Publication is free for both authors and readers.
2. What topics does the journal cover?
The Yearbook of UNWE publishes comprehensive research in the social sciences. We welcome theoretical and empirical studies in Economics, Econometrics, Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Public Policy, Governance, Law, and multidisciplinary research at the intersection of social sciences, computer science, and digital transformation.
3. Can I submit a paper in Bulgarian?
No. To ensure global accessibility, the Yearbook of UNWE accepts manuscripts only in English. Submissions must be written in professional academic English.
4. How long does the peer review process take?
The average time from submission to final decision is 6 to 8 weeks, allowing reviewers to thoroughly evaluate each study. Accepted papers are published online immediately through our Online First model.
5. What is the limit on article length?
Because the Yearbook focuses on fundamental research, we accept manuscripts as follows:
- Research Studies: Fundamental research involving comprehensive theoretical or empirical investigations, limited to 35 standard pages (approximately 10,000 words).
- Articles: Focused research papers, limited to 20 standard pages (approximately 6,000 words).
Note: The word count includes abstract, tables, figures, and references.
6. Is the journal indexed?
Yes. The journal is indexed in international databases such as ERIH PLUS, CEEOL, RePEc, EconBiz, and Google Scholar. Each article receives a persistent DOI via CrossRef.
7. Who holds the copyright?
Authors retain full copyright of their work. All articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing broad dissemination and reuse with proper attribution.
8. Do I need an ORCID iD?
Yes. All authors must provide an ORCID iD at submission to ensure correct attribution in global databases.
9. How do I format my references?
References must follow APA Style. Each submission requires at least 10 scholarly sources.
